Volumetric weight ratio

When calculating the price of a consignment, with respect to its weight, it is normally enough just to consider the weight. However should you wish to send a large, but not very heavy, consignment then weight is calculated based on what we call the volumetric weight ratio.

The volumetric weight ratio can be calculated in the following way:

for boxes: [Length (in cm) x Width (in cm) x Height (in cm)] divided by 6000

for cylindric rolls: [Length (in cm) x diameter² (in cm)] divided by 6000 = Volumetric weight ratio in kg
