Greutate_volumetrică ratio

The cost of delivering a consignment is dependent, among other things , on its weight. For consignments of normal dimensions the classification system is as follows: "letter", "bag" (a special delivery bag provided by us) and "box" (a rigid container). For clarity we consider a consignment up to 0.25kg as a "letter", up to 2kg as a "bag" and everything heavier as a "box".

When calculating the price of a consignment, with respect to its weight, it is normally enough just to consider the weight. However should you wish to send a large, but not very heavy, consignment then weight is calculated based on what we call the Greutate_volumetrică ratio.

The Greutate_volumetrică ratio can be calculated in the following way:

for boxes: [Length (in cm) x Width (in cm) x Height (in cm)] divided by 6000

for cylindric rolls: [Length (in cm) x diameter² (in cm)] divided by 6000 = Greutate_volumetrică ratio in kg
